The Neuroscience Program at Weber State University would like to invite all High School Athletes, their parents, coaches, and trainers to attend a lecture on “Beyond Concussion: Understanding Athlete Brain Health” presented by Dr. Jeffery Kutcher. The lecture will be held on Thursday, March 21 at 7:00 pm in Lindquist Hall Room 101 on the Weber State Campus in Ogden. Our goal with this lecture is to bring brain safety awareness to the community and provide valuable information to the parents of student athletes.
Dr. Jeffery Kutcher is an internationally recognized expert and sports neurology pioneer. He is a team Physician for the US Ski and Snowboard Association and served as the Team Neurologist for the US Olympic Team at the 2014 (Sochi) and 2018 (Berlin) Winter Games. He has also worked extensively with other athletic entities including the NBA, NFL, NHL and NCAA establishing and addressing concussion policies.
This lecture is being presented during Brain Awareness Week at Weber State University and will be directed at educating the student athlete. We hope you will be able to join us in this very timely and informative lecture.
