Roy-Fremont football rivalry won’t be played in 2017

RYAN COMER, Standard-Examiner Staff If there’s a high school equivalent to the college football rivalry between Utah and BYU, the Fremont-Roy rivalry may be as close as any. And just like there was with the former, there will be a break with the latter. Fremont and Roy will not be playing each other next season.

Roy High is the Undefeated Debate Champion!! Last weekend, the Debate team competed at the Mid-Season Invitational, and in addition to going undefeated in Debate, we were also the Dramatic Speaking Champion and Best Speaker of the House! Wrestling had a good tournament. In the Varsity tournament we finished in 4th place, going 4-3 in the duals. We had 2 varsity wrestlers go undefeated Kalem Adams at 113 lbs and Kai Chenoweth at 182 lbs. In the JV tournament we had the following kids place: 138 lbs — Kaiden Thompson 1st place 145
